Hi I am active again , this time tad bit more wiser , more mature and probably right. Since my last blog I have came a long way , made lots of amends in my life and refurnished my goals a bit . Right now I am sitting in my office typing in , I [like 70% (roughly) Indian students] am working in a workplace I despise , my boss is a shithead , my colleagues are clueless and I am no good, having said that personally , they are good human beings.
As we are talking of goodness and righteousness and also since I am preparing for UPSC which has compelled me to link every aspects of my life with our nation and surroundings , one question arises ," Even though India is in the zenith of innovation , socio-economic development , accompanying unparalleled global influence , are we deep within , good people in general ?" how do i measure this , how do i take a guess that if people around me are morally and in-behavior better human being than in any other country irrespective of the diversity and great mix of races which embody India and which separates it from the world in general.
Apart from lack of morality which big MNCs and IT companies show , treating the employees as mere tool for success , making them work over time so that their NIFTY/SENSEX valuation reflect that how efficiently "managed" these companies are , while the profits are in billions and millions the employees are made "satisfied" with the feel of "growth" by mere compensation of lakhs and even thousands while the work hours remain same
NO I am talking about general well behavior which should be shown by citizens , from the time of Nirbhaya incident it is debated that who were worse , the rapists or the onlookers who left that poor girl to descend into enormous pain and suffering for coming 5 days . Even after Nirbhaya , there were many incidents where the rape victim was left distraught and people did nothing
Article 21 , in Indian constitution gives the citizens of India RIGHT TO LIFE , which in short means every citizen in India has a right to live , now can I ask were these onlookers did right by the constitution if not by there conscience ? , are they nonetheless similar to the animals who did such heinous crime to that poor soul .
This was just one case , recently there are many cases of "moral policing " , Dadri-Lynching was one of them , tell me is killing a man is an act of morality ? From when in civil society value of a man is lesser than that of an animal ? similar incidents has been in UP , Bihar , Maharastra (which in the matter of fact has highest number of beef producing units) , but no one from this "Mob" will go and do such un-civilized act infront of well guarded beef producing units , will they ? or fight for this motherland of ours in the front-line ?
Now as a logical being, questions (if not till now) should arise in your mind , from my point of view there could be 2 problem statements
1) How are these small incidents are affecting India as a whole ?
2) Is there any solution to such kind of evolving hate ?
Bear with me on this one , we are taught Ramanyana , Mahabharta and Veds , we are now a days also taught "protecting" them
But no one taught us to resist the feeling of hate we develop growing up
Killing/attacks in the name of moral policing , Road rage , slut-shaming , social discrimination against rape victim , rapes , harassment , discrimination of women in industries and organisation , slow and inefficient redressal mechanism Hate against matriarch and females in general.
What is the result of all these you ask ?
Everyday we are feeling uncomfortable and insecure in society if not for our well-being but for our loved ones
Apart from calculus botany and accountancy , what we need to teach young minds is perseverance , humility , kindness , empathy and LOVE .
Unless and until people are helping people in sidewalks , in office cubicles , in hostels , in society , and everywhere else we can never see India really evolving into the country we all dream of
